We hope you all had fun with the Lunar New Year event. You may have noticed something unusual about the Great Dragon. That's because it was actually Draco and Drago in disguise! The Great Dragon's invitation had apparently gotten lost, and they decided to take matters into their own little claws. We gave them a stern talking-to for shirking their other duties, but we also thanked them for saving Lunar New Year. 🐉

The JellyRO festivities aren't settling down yet! St. Patrick's Day is March 17th, but we can enjoy a bit of Irish folklore all month long. This month is also a very special milestone for a certain staff member. There are so many reasons to wear green and the Auro shop's got you covered. 🍀

    St. Patrick's Day Event

Mr. Chaun, the Fatum who wants to be a Leprechaun, is back this year, but was ambushed and robbed by some monsters upon arriving in Midgard. Now it seems that his coin collection has been scattered around the world. What a nasty trick! How will poor Mr. Chaun manage to get his gold back to impress the other Leprechauns? That's right, adventurer. You're going to help him by hunting down monsters that might have his coins! You can find him at prt_fild06 82,100.

Chaun understands that humans might find his gold coins really heavy, so when you bring them to him, he will take what you have and give you points to keep track of how many you've found. These points can be exchanged for various rewards. You can even use your points to buy back the coins if you decide later that you want to let someone else get credit for turning them in.

    Finnian's 10th Year Anniversary

It's a rare event when a staff member has been active for 10 years. To celebrate this, we have created a special box. Inside the Staff Anniversary Box are things that Finnian had personally selected. It is available in the Auro shop, as well as one of the major rewards in the St. Patrick's Day event.

It is important to note, that it is expected that you open them before the end of the event. Staff Anniversary Boxes will be removed during the next maintenance. You have been warned!

Since this is such a special occasion, Finnian was given an opportunity to choose a reward for the server even though the community contribution goal was not met for this month. Surprise, Jellybeans! You all can enjoy a month of @autoloot and its variations! This should aid you in your search for Chaun's missing coins! Details about the commands can be found in the spoiler below.

    Spoiler

    @autoloot {<%>}

Enables or disables autolooting items from killed mobs.
If a percentage is given, only items dropped at that rate and below will be autolooted.

    ---------------------------------------

    @alootid <+/- item name/ID>
    @alootid reset

Starts or stops autolooting a specified item.
Typing "reset" will clear the autoloot item list.
By default, 10 items can be autolooted at one time.

    ---------------------------------------

    @autoloottype <+/- ><type name>
    @autoloottype reset

Starts or stops autolooting a specified item type.
Type List: healing, usable, etc, weapon, armor, card, petegg, petarmor, ammo.
Typing "reset" will clear the autoloot item list.

Ten years is a long time, and so much has happened. Since Finnian is known to many players, past and present, you must have some stories to share. If you have any fond memories of your interactions with Finnian, we encourage you to post them in this thread.

Finnian, your roots run deep with server history, your branches reach high into our future, and your leaves dance with the wind giving us all joy. Thank you for witnessing the seasons of our server, providing shade, and being a calming counsel to those of us who need it. You are a living testament to resilience and dedication. (And yer a pretty good boss.)
Hi, Finn! Congratulations on 10 years as staff! That's a huge achievement and I can understand how you've done it. In my time here, you have been welcoming to everyone, staff and players alike. You have always lended an ear when I need someone to talk to and I'm sure you do the same for others. Thank you for being a positive tree for our community, and here's to hopefully another 10 more years!

When I first joined staff you were like, 'Don't worry, I'll take you under my wing.' though I have surpass your mentorship, I am glad that you have still supported staff and stuck by my side.
Thank you so much. It's also Linus' 10th year of being with our server. He shifted gears from being regular staff (Dev) to a Freelancer three years ago, and is irreplaceable as far as I'm concerned. His skills and expertise have gotten us out of many a tight spot over the years. He keeps the test server up for us, and always shows up when we need extra help with the main servers. I would like to share this celebration with him as well.

    Invalid Names

It has come to my attention that the name changing NPC was allowing players to put symbols that were not allowed in their names. If your name contains any of the following characters # % & ` < > ? please send me (Kathis) a Rodex mail, so I can send you a free Service Ticket to change your name now that the NPC has been updated. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Names containing any of those special symbols by the End of Summer (roughly half a year from now) will be changed to "Inappropriate Name" followed by a number, and we will not cover the cost to change the name to something else afterwards.

    We Can't Have Nice Things

    A messages from Kathis

A few days after we had launched a lot of you were using auto-cast, homunculus, and other means to gather the coins, as well as other goodies with autoloot. And several of you had even asked staff if using mercenaries were allowed. I had thought it was clear that anything that automates play was not allowed, but that wasn't the case. While gear had been modified to check to see how long the player had been idle for. It wasn't obvious if it was working or not. I had watched people in several locations, not moving, but still casting auto spells for more than 10 minutes. Not seeing the coins dropped, told me that they had set the alootid up to gather the coins.

I would rather have a solution that just makes it so skills that are triggered by auto-casting, don't reset the idle timer. But I needed a solution quickly. The following had been changed.

    • Homunculus no longer will trigger autoloot
    • Autoloot will no longer trigger if a player had been idle for 30+ seconds
    • Players will now still be considered idle, even if they use skills of any kind.
    • Partymembers will no longer get items/exp when idle for 30+ seconds.

The last one was implemented due to some confusion on it's involvement with our current issue. If I could have it just do items, I would. Gear will still auto-cast until they been idle for 60 seconds.

So what must you do to no longer be considered idle then, you may be asking.

Walk, chat, attack, use items, sit /stand, emote, drop items, or use commands.

    Basically be active.

It shouldn't have to be noted that if we suspect you tried to find cleaver ways to continue automating your play. You will be dealt with accordingly.

For those that were actively playing, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

    -Kathis Server Owner.

    New Years Resolution

    A Message From Kathis

Last year I managed to get a lot of ground work for Operation: Player IDs in place, despite the many roadblocks. Now comes the next question. How to assign the IDs to players so they have exactly one per person? Once this can be addressed, I can then work on some other projects that I know you all will like. Including but not limited to: WoE 3.0, Auro Boards that allow you to choose which quest to take, and Events that have better prizes. New systems will always have bugs and possible exploits. For this reason I will request that the players are honest when getting their Player ID. The goal is that everyone gets one, and there are no conflicts with those living in the same home. In either case, there will be testing and science to be done, and while my previous tests of auto assigning Player IDs failed, we might go into an 'send an email' or 'fill out this form' route to apply for one. More to be stated on this topic in future.

In regards to the website, we have not yet had a chance to move to our new webhost, but the ground work has been done. With any luck the move will happen soon, and we can then upgrade the forum. Further there are plans on moving our Server to a new webhost as well, from what I have read on the specs, it should handle a bit of the lag issues player's have been experiencing.

These are my two major goals this year. Hope this news excites you a bit.

    As for roadmap plans...

    February: Lunar New Year
    March: Finnian's 10th Staff Anniversary
    June-August: Summer Event & Carnival
    October: Halloween
    December: Christmas

I will mention now that there might be several times this year where I might not have access to my computer. I'll do my best to make sure this does not impact the server and the players.

Lastly I want to make this clear but you have until the maintenance of the event to use items that linger after the event. Boxes change what their contents are, which can drastically change the value of the box, and the difficulty that events would be to earn them if they are earned via a prize NPC.

The Following, but not limited, are examples:
Summer Gacha needs to be open before Next Summer Maintenance.
The Various Halloween Candy need to be consumed before the Next Halloween Maintenance.

Special Xmas Box needs to be open before Next Christmas Maintenance.

So be sure to use them before ya lose them.

    Support the Server: Auto Loot

Means good things for the community

You might have forgotten that we have a tipping platform for those who want to help and support paying the server upkeep costs.

Well the community has done it again. We want to reiterate that NO ITEM OR CREDITS OR AURO will be rewarded in exchange. But when the goal is met, we can do something that benefits the entire community. Last time this was met, we brought in Barb (discount card removal) for a week. This month, we're going to make auto looting possible. This will be available until February 5th.

Here are the instructions to use the command:

    Quote

    @autoloot {<%>}

Enables or disables autolooting items from killed mobs.
If a percentage is given, only items dropped at that rate and below will be autolooted.

    ---------------------------------------

    @alootid <+/- item name/ID>
    @alootid reset

Starts or stops autolooting a specified item.
Typing "reset" will clear the autoloot item list.
By default, 10 items can be autolooted at one time.

    ---------------------------------------

    @autoloottype <+/- ><type name>
    @autoloottype reset

Starts or stops autolooting a specified item type.
Type List: healing, usable, etc, weapon, armor, card, petegg, petarmor, ammo.
Typing "reset" will clear the autoloot item list.

    Website Maintenance Notice

Before we get into the fun and wonderful events we have prepared for you, we have a special announcement. During December 10th, Sunday to December 12th, Tuesday the website will be undergoing maintenance. This will include the wiki, control panel, forums, and other aspects of our website. It shouldn't impact the game server, but you will not be able to make new accounts during this time.

    Grand prize

It's a tradition at this point to have a grand prize during the Christmas holiday. And as traditions go, we have added a hidden a bonus prize of a 12,000 Auro Pack one clever player can redeem. In 2022 it was hidden in the events themselves. For 2020-2021, we had 12 Days of Christmas, where a code had a chance to be announced in game, on the forums, in Discord, or various other places. Before that, we've even had forum puzzle games that held the codes hidden within. This year... well, I won't say where it's hidden. I will give just a small reminder that the secret code is broken into multiple hidden parts, and you will need all the parts in order to win the grand prize. Other bonus prizes may become available after the big one has been claimed.

To help though, the first number in each of the hidden parts of the secret code is its order within the secret code. So, for example, if the hidden part is 7FEK it would go in the 7th placement. All hidden parts contain only 3 characters: A number and two following characters. Because you are clever and l

earned to highlight, here is the first part of the hidden code, 1DJ.

You're a Mean One, Mr. Krampus

    JT_HOLIDAY_KRAMPUS.gif

Krampus is back! Every so often you will get a message that he was spotted in Lutie. If you are near him you might distract him enough to drop some Christmas Presents. The more crowded he is the more presents he will drop! But be careful sometimes he will explode, killing everyone near him! If you are observant you can tell how many presents will be dropped.

Krampus will wander around Lutie for about 8 minutes before he realizes his present stealing bag is near empty and will have to restock.  But don't worry he will be back roughly at the start of each hour

    Red Stockings for Mierna

    Red_Stockings.png

Being in Lutie, the Christmas town of Midgard, has its own stress and troubles. Mierna is certain that someone has stolen all of her Red Stockings. If you can bring her two, she will give you a Christmas Present that you can exchange to Gifu. She is in Luite (xmas_in 90,93)

But we here at JellyRO Headquarters know who the culprit is. Antonio is back to his old tricks now that Krampus stopped stealing his form. Using his many powers of time manipulation, he can be found in several locations. Mainly in Prontera, Geffen, and Payon Fields.

    1247.gif

    Gifu, the Event Reward Giver

    1249.gif

Gifu is a little Myst Case who loves getting presents. They are willing to give you some pretty cool rewards if you can collect enough of them. They are located in IsFörsvar (far_in01 13/26) , and can even give you some information on where to get more. In fact, Gifu is pretty sure they saw some floating in the waters in IsFörsvar, but they are scared of the water, perhaps you could fish them out. Chow Fan in Hugel will also exchange 1 GM Jellybean for 10 Christmas Presents.

    Put a Bow On It

You will be able to wrap any items in a present and give it someone. To do so you just need to get your hands on both Wrapping Paper and Wrapping Lace. Clicking on one of them will open a shop menu. (This isn't a real shop, just how the client renders it.)  Place a single item in the window and click sell.

Wrapping_Gift-1.png 1 item type per sell window.
    Wrapping_Gift-1.png No account bound items.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You can wrap items in stacks.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You can wrap refined items.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You CANNOT wrap things that have cards or special data.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You CANNOT wrap anything that is broken.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You CANNOT wrap anything that is not identified.
Wrapping_Gift-1.png You CANNOT wrap other wrapped presents.

This gift can be traded and mailed to your friends. They cannot be vended however, and it should be noted that you shouldn't be trading these gifts for Zeny or other items, with the promise of  "There is something really cool in there I swear!" Treat them like you would a real Christmas gift. Generally, you wouldn't go to your Christmas Tree, see a bunch of presents, and before you can open them, your grandmother is like, "That will be 200 dollars..."

The Wrapping Paper and Wrapping Lace can be found by slaying Christmas Orc and Christmas Goblin in an IsFörsvar Cave.

    The Gift of Giving Event

    Christmas_Rings.png

Located in Prontera you will meet Snower. This young lad is looking for help from those who are charitable and willing to give and deliver presents to his sisters Snoowy and  Sneewy. They will want gifts that are wrapped. You can wrap them yourself or you can have Snower do it for 100 zeny each. Be warned that he will not stack them very well and will put single items in a box. For example, if you had 50 red potions, he would charge you 5000 Zeny and give you 50 Wrapped Presents. When opened, each are a single red potion. This event has no reward, so it should only be pursued by those that are charitable.

Snoowy is located on Byalan Island (Izlu2dun 59,77)

Sneewy is located in Louyang (louyang 224,249)

    A Very Kafra Christmas

    kafraquest.png

Some of you may remember the Kafra Christmas quest rom last year. Here is a refresher for those that don't remember or are new. You must first talk to Kafra Christie in the middle of Prontera.

She has two ways for players to earn Special Reserve Points, which can be redeemed at the Kafra Headquarters in the northwest corner of Aldebaran for Kafra themed rewards as well as some cute holiday hats! The quick way is to simply donate Zeny. The fun way, which may lead you to the bonus prize, involves collecting donations from Citizen NPCs located around Prontera, Alberta, Izlude and Geffen.

Try to find all the Citizens and collect as many donations from them as you can before returning to Kafra Christie with your haul of Small, Medium and Large donation boxes, which will net you varying amounts of Special Reserve Points upon delivery. When you are making your rounds as a temporary Kafra employee, be sure to use your best customer service skills and listen carefully to what the Citizens have to say. Every day you can go around and try collecting more donations from them.

So as you can see, there is lots of Christmas cheer to be had!

All that is left is for everyone to go and make merriment in the land of Midgard.

Event ends on Tuesday, Jan 2, 2024!

If you are reading this, then you are blissfully unaware of what is creeping up behind you...

    Boo!

Happy spooky season, Jellybeans! That may have been a trick, but we have many wonderful treats and activities for you to enjoy over the next month! The annual Pumpkin Festival includes Trick or Treating, searching for ghosts among Mysterious Pumpkins, hunting down Old Cobby's Spirit, and making Powerful Pumpkin Pies! Also, the Castle of Skidbladnir is haunted again. There are so many ways to collect Pumpkin Festival Certificates, which can be redeemed for frightfully fun rewards! Perhaps even... no we wouldn't bring that back... or would we?

No spooky paths were sighted in the Payon woods this year, but I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before the Forest of Lost Souls reappears. It won't be this year, but things are now in motion that cannot be undone. I sense a plot of revenge and redemption brewing! (See October 2021 and 2022 announcements in the Archive for background info.)

    This is Halloween

    hallowpront.png?ex=651b26fb&is=6519d57b&

As tradition goes we have brought back the
    P u m p k i n F e s t i v a l
. For the players that have been here for a while and participated in the past iterations, it may feel the same as before, but we have made some slight changes to our classics. For the players that have not yet partook in the
    P u m p k i n F e s t i v a l
      here is a recap.

    General

There are lots of things you can do during this event. Several sub events will be offered in different towns, and participating in said events will get you a Pumpkin Festival Certificate 20231.png?nocache=105705982 . These can be exchanged for prizes by Hermann, the Ticket Master in Prontera (/navi prontera 147/198). He distributes the Pumpkin Festival rewards in return for Pumpkin Festival Certificates. However his stock is a little dry at the start. Visit him daily to see what he offers you. Rumor has it, that he will have a very special prize after he has replenished his entire stock of 20 prize items. Remember to use the certificates before the event ends, however, or they will no longer be valid.

    Trick or Treat

    unknown.png

Halloween lasts for one day, but during the Pumpkin Festival, it's still custom and practice to dress up and go from house to house to ask for candy for the entire month. You will be able to trick or treat in the five towns Izlude, Rachel, Geffen, Alberta, and Niflheim. On the minimap you will see the locations of the houses where you can knock to ask for candy. But wait! You need to put on a costume first! In all of these five towns, you will find the Unhappy Mask Salesman, and he will assist you in creating a mask that disguises you as a monster to go trick or treating! Keep in mind that for each town, you need to put on a different mask. When using the mask, your costume will only stay for 1 minute, so better stand in front of a door, or else your mask will go to waste. In order to make it easier for you to find the Unhappy Mask Salesman, here are his locations for each town:

    • Izlude 102,67
    • South of Rachel (ve_fild02) 183,380
    • Geffen 39,124
    • Alberta 28,240
    • Niflheim 27,157

    unknown.png

In the past every town except Izlude had 10 houses but now even Izlude has 10 where you can knock on the door. You can only knock on a door once each day, and there are different kinds of candies or ... "things" ... that you can get depending on the town. You can go trick or treating 10 times each day per character. For every successful knock on a door, you get 1 certificate. Now go, and find out which types of candy you can get from all the towns!

    Mysterious Pumpkins

    unknown.png

Mysterious Pumpkins will appear in the towns of Payon, Aldebaran, Comodo, and Morocc. They are quite harmless, but among them, a few Mischievous Ghosts are hiding, disguised as a pumpkin. Find the Mischievous Ghosts, and drive them out of the towns, so they stop scaring people. But be careful, they are quite swift... After 30 minutes, if all the ghosts have not been found, all of the pumpkins will disappear again. You will see an announcement when they're back! You get Certificates when you reveal them and when you manage to defeat them! After the sub event ends, they will be back in 60 minutes

This sub event has been revamped so that we can run it as a GM weekly event. So look forward to earning those extra festival certificates if it gets voted.

    Old Cobby's Spirit

    4544.gif

Old Cobby's spirit is a monster that respawns every 10 - 20 minutes, in prt_fild08. Defeating Old Cobby, will reward 3 certificates and 1 old purple box.

    Powerful Pumpkin Pies

    image.png?ex=651b9f65&is=651a4de5&hm=074

If you have already been online, killing monsters, you might have noticed that sometimes, you receive an Edible Pumpkin or some Raw Dough. You can use these items to create a Powerful Pumpkin Pie that boosts your stats for a short while. To do that, bring 3 Edible Pumpkins and 1 Raw Dough to Casper, the not-so-dead travelling cook (/navi prontera 145/200). You can only get 1 certificate each day for creating pumpkin pies, but you can create as many pies as you wish.

    The Haunting of Skidbladnir

    image.png?ex=651ba631&is=651a54b1&hm=167

Yuno is an old, old place, and many have died on the the battlefields of WoE. It's not surprising that something has overtaken the castle of Skidbladnir. Purchase a Ghost Free Charm from the Ghost Hunter (/navi sch_gld,71,315) to gain 24hr entry to investigate what lies there. He might have interesting things for you to trade if you bring him what he's looking for. Inside, you'll find the Gatekeeper standing guard over something. He will offer a blessing to anyone deemed too spirit-like. Be warned, though. His blessings will completely cleanse you of your aura if you should happen to want to cross the veil. On the other side of the veil, Kafra might be able to help you find your way, and reward you should you offer her a certain coin. If you wish to leave you may have to find your own means of escape.  Are you sure you want to know how deep the rabbit hole goes??

    Uneasy Cemetery

    image.png?ex=651bcaaa&is=651a792a&hm=cb6

When Night falls in JellyRO, the undead rise from their graves in Prontera. Bring Holy Water to Mother Mathana (/navi prontera 257/313), to ease the dead. She won't appear until the undead stir for the first time. She requires 1000 holy water, but as a community you can work together to keep Prontera safe. For every 100 holy water you hand in you will get a Pumpkin Harvest Certificate. When day comes, the dead will return back to their sleep to haunt another night. Mother Mathana will take all your holy water, even if you give her a surplus that covers more than one day. However, bringing more than the required amount of holy water can earn the city additional peaceful nights when the dead will not stir. A day in Ragnarok has been set for 12 hours. Night occurs at midnight and noon server time.

Event ends on November 6, 2023!

All event items will vanish after the event ends

    (Obviously not the rewards)

    Forum Looks... Odd

So some of you may have noticed that some images are missing. Sometime in September we were having issues with the site even loading because the webserver was full on space. Trying to figure out what could be removed I had found a folder in the forum archives called backups, they had one for every month and year from when we moved to this forum from our old SMF forum. So I thought they were backups, and removed the folders from 2016-2018. Their folder name style was 2016-01, 2016-02, 2016-03, etc.

Mistakes were made, and they were not in fact backups of everything for that month year, but folders of when said images and files were uploaded to the server. Generally we would moved the files to our personal computers incase something goes wrong. Due to circumstances this was not performed. I take full responsibility for this oversight. For the most part this can be fixed by reuploading your avatars.

Again sorry for the inconvenience, we'll be fixing what we can when we're not so hard pressed.

    Winners of the Jam

Congratulations  to our top 4 winners of the Jam harvest. We were surprised to see the amount of jam that was gathered. Our top place being  2400 Jams

Each of our winners will have 1 week to respond to their Rodex mail, to let me know the order of packages from their most want to least. As for everyone who got over 500 Jams, you will get a Rodex mail with a jellybean as well. But there was a special reward for those who got top 4, and for EVERYONE that participated. Every got a special taming item for them to get their own Marin Pet. Those in top 4 will get an Egg.

I had to choose a character from the account so I went with what felt like your main, or the one I saw you partake in events.

Thank you again everyone who participated.

Salutations, Jellybeans! Before we know it, summer will be over. We're celebrating the last month of the season with our annual Summer Festival, complete with a carnival full of minigames in Amatsu. We added a new one this year that is a bit different than the others, but we hope the most dedicated players will find it rewarding. In addition, as a thank-you for your support over the past month, we have a "special guest" that we were able to book on short notice!

    The Carnival Returns to Town

Step right up to the JellyRO Carnival Extravaganza in Amatsu! Our beloved classics are back – test your strength with the High Strike, spin the Big Wheel, delight in the Poring Pond, and join the Fishing Contest for a chance to reel in fantastic rewards. And don't miss the thrill of the Claw Machine, where you can snag fantastic rewards with a bit of skill. This year, we've added a relaxing Petting Zoo a little south of the excitement, where you can unwind and enjoy the company of adorable creatures. The festivities are in full swing, so come on down and experience the fun of the JellyRO Carnival. Head to Amatsu now and talk to the Points Redeemer to get your Special Game Card and see what prizes you can win!

Something to note: When you talk to Darren, the guy in charge of the petting zoo, he knows you are very busy people. So once you cancel or tell him you have no questions, he won't go over it again. So make sure you get all your questions in first.

Event ends on September  4, 2022

    Server Event: Beta test

    Okolnir Instance

Attention all warriors and guilds! A new instance has been unlocked in the mystical realm of Okolnir! Face the challenge of the Wish Maiden, a powerful Valkyrie who will test your skills and determination in two trials, Asprika and Brynhild. Traverse through perilous paths and battle fierce guardians to reach the end and prove your worth. But beware, the Wish Maiden trials are not to be underestimated. Complete the trials within the hour, or face the destruction of Okolnir. And remember, only one item may be forged, so make sure you choose wisely! Will you be the ones to emerge victorious and obtain the ultimate reward? If so Head to aru_gld 188/345 or sch_gld 320/92 and talk to the Guide.

That said it is one of the harder things for our staff to test, we can have bypasses to make sure inner mechanics can go from beginning to end. We also know that mechanically it works since this is something we had in the past when we had the 2.0 castles enabled. So how is this a beta test?

It's a beta test in part because this will be open to multiple guilds instead of  one guild that owns the castle with the correct eco score.

We'll list what is working as intended, and if something doesn't follow what is listed, it's a bug. We would very much appreciate it if our players report when something is not working. Who knows maybe we'll have more of these as events  in the future if this all works out well.

Working as intended:   This includes but not limited to the following.

    • Guilds that can enter require guild level 10, and 10 guild members online.
    • Only the Guild Master can start the 'instance'.
    • Only 1 guild can enter at a time.
    • Once in, the guild will have 15 minutes to set up and gather their guildmates. If they fail to do so, the entire guild is removed from the starting room, and a different guild can register.
    • In the Starting Room the Guild Master must choose which gear they are going to construct.
    • The Maze has a chance of being locked out of a ring. (This will most likely be altered.)
    • To progress in the maze you need to kill all the clones.
    • The Crystal Keys are tradeable.
    • Going through the portal will take all your keys.
    • Piamette battle is confusing as is and I plan on modifying it later. This section does require all the cages to be filled.
    • The battle before the final boss, has waves. It's timed by how many monsters are left. This is planned to be changed in future.
    • At the end only the Guild Master can make the selected gear, and only one.
    • During a GM event everyone who has the ingredients can make whichever gear was selected.
    • The 'instance' will have a 3 hour cool down, for the server.
    • To begin the instance, the Guild Leader speaks to the Guide located at aru_gld 188,345 or sch_gld 320,92.

    Added in Post

So next to the Zeny to Auro vending machine, is an npc named David, he is to exchange 5 specials ingredients for this instance, that you would normally get from chest drops in the castle, for a new box.

We were suppose to have the boxes for 500 auro in the auro shop, but we cannot refresh the auro shop until next maintenance. So David will sell you the boxes for 500 auro.  I shouldn't have to state this but in the past a lot of players will state something like, "I didn't know." So to be clear exploiting this npc is a ban able offense.

Want to help the server with cash

Player: Can I make a donation in the server?
    Kathis: nope
Player: Ok even if theres nothing in exchange?
Kathis : May I inquire on the why?
Player: Because i love the server and im still on it?

*Player's name has been changed to protect their identity.

I've had several conversations like this over the past year. Talking to staff we decided that it would be nice to have a bit of ease on the server bills, though we have to make this super clear. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY CREDITS OR AURO OR ITEMS if you gift us cash. So with that in mind I have made a buymecoffee account.

Even put the server bills as a goal on there. You are not obligated to gift us anything. But some of you are very persistent about this option.
    https://www.buymeacoffee.com/kathisjellq

The money will be used to pay the server bills. If you cannot use it due to your country origin, don't worry. Again, NO ITEM OR CREDITS OR AURO will be rewarded in exchanged. Maybe if the goal is met, we can do something awesome for the server as a whole, like bring bob back for a week, or double jellybeans during events, increase drop / exp rate to x12 x12 x6 for a month. Who knows!! But it must be something that benefits everyone, besides, you know, keeping the lights on.

    A Note from Kathis

Autotraders are still not loading in correctly upon a server reboot. We have theories on why this is, but nothing concrete at this time.

Staff, including myself, have been having some lemons thrown at our lives, and are juggling what time we can to focus on JellyRO. Hopefully the maelstrom clears up soon. I will not be around from May 14th, possibly into June. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Story: Any lore that can is tied to this town.  (250 auro)

Dungeons: A list of their dungeons and instances. (50 auro per)

  8. Endless Tower

Get to the top of things

    unknown.png

Endless Tower is an instance that any player can do, but there is a special feeling when it is run by a GM.

Like when your parents make popcorn for you. Sure you can make it but wouldn't it be better if Mom or Dad did?

Required Player Count: 4+ (for dedicated) // 10+ (for weekly GM event variant)

Number of GM's Required: 2 active (for dedicated) // 1 active (for weekly)

    Game Type: Skill

    Winner Type: Team

Record Time: 1 hour, 0 minutes 35 seconds 54 milliseconds.

    Rules

    1. No Switching Characters Mid Event
    2. No Alts
    3. No AFKing.
    4. Do NOT abuse the Jellybean per Hour reward system.
    5. Finish the instance before time runs out. (4 hours)
    6. Do NOT use Dark Ashes to quick travel up the tower. Doing so will invalidate the record, and thus the entire event.

    AFK / Alt Trigger:

All events do not allow AFKing. In this event one of the GM's will be following the player that is the furthest back. If they stop moving, or appear to be idle, for too long, the GM is to start a timer. The player will have 5 minute to start moving. Failure to do so will result in them being removed from the event.

If the GM suspects a character is an alt. Both characters will be removed from the party, and they will not get any prize.

    Disconnected

If you disconnect in the middle of the event. The GMs will start a timer if you cannot reconnect within 5 minutes, you will be removed from the event. When you reconnect the GM will teleport you back into the instance.

    How to Play:

For the most part this event is treated like a normal party instance. The difference being that depending on the size of the party and the amount of aid the GM provides determines if the event is record qualified. These are some factors that are taken into consideration.

    How many players:

The less players there are the more it qualifies for a record run.

    +20p 4-10 Players

    +10p 11-15 players

    +5p 16 or more players

How much support the GM gives:

The more support the GM provides, the easier it is on the players, thus the less it qualifies for a record run.

+5p The GM is being very active, such as healing the party, blessing them, and other party wide support.

+10p The GM will be more like a bard, playing songs that will aid the party but only while near them.

+20p The GM will only spectate. Reviving the party only when there is a Total Party Kill.

    Treating the Reclimb:

At the end of the 100th floor there is a part in the instance that will teleport players who have never done the endless tower instance back to the bottom.

+10p Those Players are to walk the 100 floors again.

+5p Recall the party to the top of the dungeon.

    Record Qualifications:

If the Total of Points is greater than 25. Then it qualifies for a Record run, being exactly 25 points does not. The GM will do their best to make sure that the run qualifies when setting up. The Time starts after the GM recalls the party to their location on the first floor, and ends when the final boss is killed, and his death dialogue starts.

If anyone is to use the quick travel feature of the tower, by using dark ashes, the record is no longer obtainable.

    TPK?:

If everyone in the party dies, the GM will revive the party. If however someone went back to town the GM will not revive the party until they have either made it back to the floor the party is on or it is determined that they have left the party.

    Leaving the party:

Leaving the party is a choice that a player can make during this event. Doing so however will result in them getting no prizes including the jellybean. If the point total increases due to their absence, the GM may decide to switch how much support they can give, provided it doesn't invalidate the record qualifications.

    Super Prize Qualification, and Prizes:

In order to earn the super prize for this event, the party needs to be the Record time. This time is determined from pervious GM Endless Tower events, not player run events.

After hitting certain milestones the prize category is increased.

After Floor 25 the team will have earned a small prize.

After Floor 50 the team prize will be upgrade to a medium prize.

After Floor 75 the team prize will be upgraded to a prize category higher.*

After Floor 100 the team prize will be upgraded to a prize category higher.*

After beating the boss the team prize will be upgraded to a prize category higher. *

The prize category cannot go higher than Large, but if the prize category had or would have dropped, this would be treated like a buffer. If at the end there is a buffer, it is treated like a second prize, starting at small.

    Small => Medium => Large

For every hour that the event goes on for, a jellybean will be rewarded, provided the team had gotten to Floor 25. Trying to exploit this by moving slowly, sitting around, and not playing the instance as you would normally will force the Event to end prematurely and reduce the prize category by 3 steps, as well as only 1 jellybean being rewarded.

Depending on how much support the GM is providing, may determine how many party revives the party gets before the prize category drops by 1.

    15p: 1 revive

    20p: 3 revives

    25p: 5 revives

    35p: 10 revives

50p: unlimited.  (21+ players, GM is just watching, players need to walk up.)

The prize category may drop below small. If the party still has troubles and the prize category has been reduced to below small The GM will ask if the party wishes to quit.

Regardless of how many deductions to the prize category there have been the party will still get a small if they had past the 25th floor. Upgrading the prize category will not yield medium until team had gotten back to positive values.

    (-4)--(-3)--(-2)--(-1)--first small---first Medium---first Large ---Second small---Second Medium

Hitting anything below -4 will provide no prize greater than small, no matter how many prize category upgrades.

    Tips and Facts

    • This Instance is rather long and can consume a lot of supplies. It's best to be stocked and prepared.
    • The GM will not consider picking up the items as AFKing, and treat it as active.
    • Casting Power Thrust CAN break the parties weapon at a 0.1% chance, each time they swing their weapon while under the effects. This can cause frustration among the other players.
    • Every 25 floors you will get Dark Ashes.
    • If you haven't done this instance before you will be teleported back to Alberta before the final chamber.
    • For more information on Endless Tower as an instance see the wiki article.
    • Because the GM will teleport the party to them inside the instance, this bypasses any restrictions the instance may have.

Why is it an event of skill

This event has been determined skill because it is just playing the instance as normal with a tiny bit of aid from the GM.

    Variant:

During the Weekly GM event, the GM may select Endless Tower as a possible event. There are a few changes.

    • The GM will give each player an event coin. These coins can be used to access their storage.
    • The GM will party revive up to the number of players in the group, when the party is completely wiped. If the party has 7 players not including the GM. The party gets 7 total revives.
    • The event will continue until the timer runs out, or the party reaches the top, or the party had lost all their revives.
    • Player may leave the event if they wish, but they will not get a prize. They must hand in their coins if they have not used it yet. This will reduce the total revives by 1.
    • Record is possible. Since the GM is only observing (20p) and this variant of an event is only voteable if the party size is greater than 10 players, but less than 20. (10p)
    • Party Revives do not reduce the prize category.

If the team wishes to stop, the easiest way is to lemming it, and run at the monsters. To use up the party revives.

  9. Life Bomb

    Volatile things

    unknown.png

Life Bomb is a GM Event minigame where players must avoid being exploded by bomb Porings, failure to do so, and they lose a life.

    Required Player Count: 5+

    Game Type: Skill

    Winner Type: Tier winner.

    Rules

    1. No reviving in the middle of the round, including auto reviving.
    2. No mounts, but you can use speed potions and any other item that increases movement speed. (This rule is in place because the size of the player on a mount is enough to hide a bomb poring behind them, making it harder to see. Further when the player dies, their mount and character body makes it difficult to tell which cell they are taking up.)
    3. No attacking a bomb poring with the intention of leading it someone else without trying to avoid the blast itself.
    4. No intentionally picking on a player.
    5. No teleporting on the map, you must stay in the designated play space.

    AFK / Alt Trigger:

All events do not allow AFK-ing. Dying in the same spot multiple times, not moving after the round starts or not earning any points at the half way point, will provoke the GM to question if that player is AFK-ing or using multiple clients in the event.  If you have no lives and seem very quiet the GM might suspect you are afking.

To avoid this, use chat to show that you are present. Cheer on others who are surviving. Try moving around before the count down has concluded.  If the GM suspects that a player is multiclienting, they will ask the characters that share the same IP to perform a simple test that would require 2 people to perform. Staff knows that players like to play together, and sometimes those players may be living with each other or hanging out on the same network, and this is to ensure that the game is fair for everyone.

If someone is suspected to be AFK during the rewards section of the event, the player will be given 10 minutes to get their prize after the last person has been given their prize. If the player does not, they will not get their prize.

    Disconnected

If you disconnect in the middle of a round, you will lose a life and will have until the end of the next round to reconnect (if you haven't reconnected before the start of the next round, you will lose an additional life.) When you do, the GM will teleport you back to the playing area. If you have not reconnected before the end of the next round you will be removed from the party and will not get any prizes.

If you disconnect at the end of the event, the GM will treat this as being AFK during rewards. After the last person has been given their prize,  the player will be given 10 minutes to reconnect. If the player cannot, the player will not get their prize.

    How to Play:

The game is broken up into rounds. Each player is given a set amount of lives, which varies depending on the party size. (Generally party size / 2, the gm may add some additional lives to help make it easier for a clear winner.)

Each round the GM will count down and then spawn 50 Bomb Poring on 0.  Each bomb poring will cast SELFDESTRUCTION at random intervals. Getting caught in the blast will instantly kill anyone but the GM. Every person who is dead at the end of the round will lose a life. Anyone who is dead will be revived before the start of the next round, provided they have some lives left. If they have no lives left they will not be revived, and their body will become an obstacle for others.

If no one dies in a round, the next round will commence with no count down.

In some rounds a black mushroom might spawn alongside the bombs, the player that kills this mushroom, via last hit, will get a bonus life. The Gm will verify the last hit via the battle logs in the chat.

If there is a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, a sudden death round will be played between those that are tied. During a sudden death round the GM will spawn 10 Bomb Poring, and before the last few explode they will spawn more, incrementing by 10 until a decisive winner is declared.

    Super Prize Qualification

In order to earn the super prize for this event, a player must have survived to round 20 without dying a single time.

    Tips and Facts

    • While speed might seem like a good thing to have to get out of the way of a bomb about to explode, it has been noted that the faster players have died more often than those that are slower.
    • The GM will try to spawn from the center of the play space, making the corners safer.
    • Due to our server's configuration, sharing a cell with another entity is not possible.
    • The Bomb's explosion doesn't center on the bomb itself. The SELFDESTRUCTION can originate about 3 cells away from the bomb sprite, like casting an area of effect spell. The explosion is about 7 by 7 cells, but it checks each cell one by one.
    • Due to the way SELFDESTRUCTION skill works, it's possible to be caught in a blast when surrounded by others, and survive. Surviving in this manner is not considered against the rules, and will still earn a point if the player is alive at the end of the round.
    • The GM is human, and sometimes the timing for the round to start might be off beat, as well as spawning the black mushroom.
    • The GM uses a spreadsheet to keep track of the lives. They will refer to this as the score board. At the beginning of the event, they will record each player's character name into the spreadsheet. The larger the party, the longer this process can take.

Why is it an event of skill

This game has been determined skill based because the only random factor is when the Bomb Poring starts to cast their skill. Being able to quickly judge where to be and executing that plan is a skill. Further, people that generally are good at bomb poring tend to end up with a higher score on average.

  10. Fate Dice

    Roll the things

    unknown.png

Fate dice is a game of chance and luck. Where only the luckiest will survive and win. It is also a GM mini game that is very hard to explain.

    Required Player Count: 5+

    Game Type: Chance

    Winner Type: Tier winner.

    Rules

    1. After the game starts, sit in a row with a space in between each player. Do not move unless the challenge requires you to.
    2. Wait till the GM is standing in front of you and has completed their roll, before you roll.
    3. If your number is less than the GM's you will do a challenge, fail and you will explode.
    4. DO NOT get up and move if the Challenger needs to complete their challenge in a safer space.

    AFK / Alt Trigger:

As with all events, AFKing is not allowed. However, with Fate dice, you cannot move unless you are partaking in a challenge. When the GM stands in front of you and rolls the dice, you are to roll the dice as well. You will have 30 seconds to do so. When the GM instructs you to give an answer you will have 2 minutes to respond. Though the challenge might take 1 minute or less time.

The best way to avoid being suspected of being AFK when out is cheer on others!  When you are still in, just be ready when it's your turn.

    Disconnected

If a player disconnects in the middle of a round, the GM will continue the game until it would have landed on you. They will then start a timer for 3 minutes. If the player does not reconnect within this time limit, they will be removed from the party and the game will continue.

If a player disconnects at the end of the event, the GM will treat this as being AFK during rewards. After the last online person in the party has been given their prize, the player will be given 10 minutes to reconnect. If the player does not reconnect, they will not be rewarded a prize.

How to Play and its variants:

This game has a lot of information. So, this section is broken up into Short answer and Long answer.

    Short answer:

The player sits and waits for the GM to stand in front of them. After the GM has rolled their dice, the player then types /dice / dice to roll a dice in game. If the number is the same or greater then the player is safe, the gm will then move onto the next person. If the number is less, then they must do a challenge. If they are successful they will be then considered safe, otherwise they will explode and be out. This continues until there is only one person left.

    Long Answer:

    Phase 1:

When the GM warps everyone to the play map everyone is to sit in a line with a space in between them.

The GM will then ask a random player one of the following questions.

Which do you hate the most,

Which do you love the most.

which do you kind of like,

Which do you find the most meh,

    which could you live without,

    which do you adore,

    which do you despise.

Then it will be followed by a list of GM mini games. The player that was asked will then answer the question.

Then the GM will ask another player a question form the list, and the list of mini games will be shorter with the one the pervious player had answered, omitted.

When the mini games are down to the last two, the GM might come up with a question that will force the next player to choose between the two.

The purpose of this is to determine the order of the challenges.

The GM will then explain the rules and the order of the list, before deciding which direction they will go. Generally they will roll a dice, odd (1,3,5) they will go left to right. even (2,4,6) they will go right to left.  This direction will not change for the duration of the game.

    Phase 2:

The GM will move to the end of the line decided from the previous roll and roll a die. If they roll a 1, the player is considered safe and the GM will move on to the next person. If it's not a 1, then that player will roll a die as well. If the results is the same or greater, then the player is considered safe and the GM will move onto the next person. However if the player rolled less than the GM, they must do a Challenge. (Wee challenges below.)  If they are successful, they are considered safe, and the GM will move on to the next person. If they fail the challenge then they are considered out.

    Phase 3:

After the GM has done every person in the round, a new round starts. Depending on the amount of players, this could trigger the difficulty of the challenges to increase.

This will continue until there are is only 1 player left.

    Super Prize Qualification

There are 3 ways to earn the Super Prize for this event, and all are based on luck and chance. This is one of the few GM mini games where the super prize is probably the hardest to get.

    1. High Roller: Roll only 6's when it's your turn & the game must survive to round 10.

    2. Consecutive misfortune:  When it's your turn, fail the roll, and successfully complete the challenge. The rolls must be consecutive.  Either descending luck or ascending luck. 5-4-3-2-1 , 1-2-3-4-5.

    3. Unlikely Winner: Only Roll 1's and pass the challenge every time, and also be the winner.

    Challenges

There are several mini games the GM might choose for the game of Fate dice to take up. Each has an easy, medium, and hard variant. This will cover each, their unique rules, and their variants.

    Exploding Dice

    Spoiler

This mini game relies on the player's luck to roll high.

Easy: The gm will ask the player to choose someone sitting after them or before them. The person they choose will roll a die. The Challenger must meet or beat their number.

Medium: The GM will ask the player to choose someone sitting after them or before them, and either pick which one will roll higher or which one will be lower or if they will be the same.  After the Challengers lock in their answers, both players will then roll their die. If the Challenger is correct they survive.

Hard: The GM will have both players sitting before and after the Challenger roll. The Challenger then must roll a number higher than the highest, or meet if it's a 6.

    Name that Monster

    Spoiler

The GM will turn into a monster, the Challenger must type out the monster name that the GM had transformed into. Spelling does count.

Easy: The Monster the GM will choose can be found near towns or near the entrances of common dungeons.

Medium: The monster the GM will choose can be found anywhere in the world, but it must be naturally spawning.

Hard: The Monster the GM will choose can be any monster found in the world, including those that are specials summoned via events.

    Pay the Toll

    Spoiler

The Challenger will have to make a sacrifice, by giving the GM either an item or zeny. This is determined based on the difficulty and the roll by the Challenger. They can opt out of this one, but it will be considered a lost.  If the Challenger rolls an Odd (1,3,5) , it's zeny, if it's even (2,4,6) it's an item.   If the roll results in an item the Challenger will have 1 minute to find the item and trade with the gm, after their storage is open by the gm.  The roll for Zeny determines the amount, the roll for item doesn't have any impact of what sort of item the Gm might ask for.

Easy:  The zeny cost is 100, 300, or 500.  The Item the Challenger must find will be vague, but generally broad.  Soft, Hard, Sharp, or a color.  The result could be in the name or the description or even up to integration. The GM will make sure there is a valid item in the storage beforehand.  (If there is no item on the character and none in the storage, the Challenger fails.)

Medium: the Zeny cost is 1k,3k,5k.  The item the Challenger must find will be a bit  vague, but not as broad.  Descriptor, (soft, hard, light, heavy.) The result could be in the name, or description.  The Gm will not look in the storage to make sure you have a valid item before hand.

Hard: The Zeny cost is 10k, 30k, 50k.  The item the Challenger must fine will be by effect, (something that can heal more than 60 hp; something that is used in the sign quest.). The Gm will not look in the storage to make sure you have a valid item.

    RO Triva

    Spoiler

RO Triva like it's more dedicated event, will have the player answer questions. These answers can be found on the forum, control panel, or the wiki. After the GM has asked the question in full the Challenger will have 60 seconds to answer.

Easy: The question will either be true or false,  or multiple choice that has been deemed very simple.

Medium: The question will be in multiple choice.

Hard: The Challenger will need to type out their answer, spelling counts.

    Warp Roulette

    Spoiler

Warp roulette is a simple mini challenge, The GM will set up some warp portals, and the Challenger will need to pick one. Entering the correct warp will teleport them onto the play area. Choosing the wrong warp will result them being sent to a map that is the play area. The GM will teleport the Challenger back if they fail, and explode them.

Easy: There will be 2 safe portals but 1 bad

Medium: There will be 1 safe portal, and 1 bad.

Hard: There will be 1 safe portal, and 2 bad.

    Evil Clones

    Spoiler

The Challenger will need to defeat clones in order to survive. The clone has all the skills of the player it's a copy of. On top of this they must protect the party. If the Evil clone kills anyone in the party that wasn't classified as out, then the Challenger loses.

Easy: The Challenger will have to fight a clone of themselves, the gm will put the Challenger in a section where the clone cannot harm the party.

Medium: The Challenger will have to fight a clone that is selected randomly from the party (but not the gm).

Hard: The Challenger will have to fight a clone from someone randomly selected from the serve. this can also be the gm.

    Hit The GM

    Spoiler

What could be arguably the hardest challenge. GM's have a really high natural dodge, but it's possible that a lucky blow can hit them. The GM will sit and challenge the Challenger to a duel. The Challenger must hit a few times, determine by difficulty, the Gm before 60 seconds is up. When time is up and if they haven't hit the gm, the gm will stand up and hit the challenger as close to once as they can (they have a very high attack speed.) If they survive they are considered safe. If they auto res after the gm had struck they are still considered out.

Easy: The Challenger only needs to hit the GM once.

Medium: The Challenger needs to hit the GM twice.

Hard: The Challenger needs to hit the GM four times.

    Engard!

    Spoiler

The Challenger will challenge someone in the party that is still alive to a duel. Surviving and defeating the player will keep them in the game, the player they challenge will still be in the game regardless if they win or lose.  The Challenger needs to challenge different people, if they cannot then it defaults to the either a clone of themselves, or they need to hit the GM once within 30 seconds.

Easy: The Challenger only needs to challenge 1 person.

Medium: The Challenger needs to challenge 2 people.

Hard: The Challenger needs to challenge 3 people.

    Bomb Challenge

    Spoiler

The Challenger will be brought to a safe space to do their challenge, they must survive, and/or defeat all the mushrooms as well.

Easy: There will be 50 bomb poring in the space, the Challenger just needs to survive.

Medium: There will be 50 bomb poring in the space, but also 20 black mushrooms. They need to kill all the black mushrooms before the last bomb explodes.

Hard: There will be 100 bomb poring.

    Pattern

    Spoiler

The GM will make a pattern that the player must mimic. These actions can include sitting and standing, facing direction and chatting between. The Challenger is then to mimic their sequence.

Easy: The GM will use siting standing and talking. The sequence will be about 5 actions.

Medium: The GM will say phrases and sit and stand between phrases. The player must repeat the phrase and make sure they are sitting or standing as the GM did. There can be 10 actions.

Hard: The GM will do their sequence as normal but now the direction of which they are facing is taken into account. There will be 10-15 actions.

    Password

    Spoiler

The GM will have a password in mind, The Challenger will be given single word clues for them to guess it.

Easy: The Challenger will have 10 guesses

Medium: The Challenger will have 6 guesses

Hard: The challenger will have 3 guesses

    Tips and Facts

    • This game can take longer the larger the party size is. So always try to be active and ready.
    • Spelling does count for some of the mini events, you can throw off your opponents by calling out similar correct answers but have it misspelt.
    • This game was based after Death by Dice, but Death by Dice had far too much AFKing, and thus was removed from our mini events. Fate Dice was a better replacement since it requires involvement from the player as well.
    • The GM will most likely opt out of mini events that might require a lot of setup from the player, thus resulting in the following being picked. Warp, Exploding dice, Pay the Toll, Name that Monster, Ro Triva, and Pattern.
    • The Dice is handled by the server, by typing / dice  (no space) the server will randomly choose a number and roll it showing all within range the result. This is done to prevent cheating.

Why it is an event of Chance

Though this game can be argued to be skill base due to having to complete the challenges, majority of the challenges are based on chance. Including the rolling of the dice. It is possible for someone to never have to do a challenge, and it's possible that the person could also lose on the first challenge due to a dice roll.

    Variants

Depending on the size of the party this game has variants that are put into effect, what has been stated above is normal for 5 or more players. But having 1,2,3,or 4 players changes the game and how it's played. The GM will always run an event even if there is 1 player in the party. Though they will see if a better time is available for the next event.

    Single Player

    Spoiler

The game is changed from a Tier winner to a milestone prize game.

The Player will have to complete each mini game challenge. The difference is they get to roll to determine the difficulty. 1,2 = hard, 3,4 = medium, 5-6 = easy.

To earn the super prize in this case, they must complete Unlikely Winner.

Completing 2 challenges will yield a small prize

Completing 6 challenges will yield a medium prize

completing all 9 challenges will yield a large prize

    Two players

    Spoiler

The game is changed from a tier winner to a Milestone Prize game.

The players will roll against each other. When a player rolls higher they get to choose a challenge the other must complete, after they are successful that challenge cannot be selected again until all 9 mini events have been completed.  Each player gets 3 lives.  Failing they lose a life. When a player has no more lives, they have lost, and the game is over.

If the game lasts for 6 rounds both players will get a small prize, and the winner of the game will get a large, the other player will get medium.

To earn the super prize the same conditions are valid.

    Three players

    Spoiler

The Gm will ask the players to order the mini events, and pm them their list. The Gm will then have all the players roll to determine the order.

Once the order has been determined the player that has rolled the highest will go first. The Gm will then roll, if they roll less than the gm, the gm will then have the other players to roll. The highest person will determine which list of challenges to refer to for the Challenger. They are given 2 lives, failing will lose a life.  Once they lose all their lives, they are out.

    Four Players

    Spoiler

The GM will run the game like a 5+ game except that there is now a score, and the game is run till the 55 minute. Each game will yield points based on what placement they were in.

    4th = +0,

    3rd = +1,

    2nd =+3,

    1st = +5.

Between games the players may shuffle if they like. The gm will roll to determine which direction, and the game continues. the person with the highest score will be 1st. Second highest is 2nd, etc.

  11. Hello, sorry for the delay, one of my testers has checked the quest, out and say it's working as intended on our test server, I checked on main and it appears to be working as well, I even used a new character that never done the quest before.

Which character did you try this on?

  12. Draco Monster Invasion

    Close the things

    unknown.png

Draco Monster Invasion is a game where the players need to make their way through hordes of monsters to close the portals.

    Required Player Count: 5+

    Game Type: Skill

    Winner Type: Tier winner.

    Played since 2016:  4*

*It's possible that not all instances of Draco events were logged.

    Rules

    1. This is a Draco event. All players can partake in the event and receive Interesting Medals from Draco, but only those who joined the GM party will get GM event prizes.
    2. Kill stealing is allowed.
    3. The game is played until the 55th minute of the hour. This can be circumvented if the party agrees to quit early.

    AFK / Alt Trigger:

As with all events, AFK-ing is not allowed. Not moving on the map for more than 5 minutes or being on a map that is not the designated map for an extended period will be classified as AFK-ing.

Here are other ways to avoid being considered AFK. If you died near the portal and want to help the rest of the party to locate it, you can use party chat or #map to inform them where you are on the map. Your colored dot on the mini map will help others in the party identify your location. If you return to your save point, do not sit in town waiting for SP to recover. Trying to get back to the map by foot will not be seen as AFK-ing. You may also ask the GM for recall if you do not know how to get to the map.

    Disconnected

If a player disconnects in the middle of a round, the GM will start a timer for 5 minutes. If the player does not reconnect within the time limit, they will be removed from the party.

If a player disconnects at the end of the event, the GM will treat this as being AFK during rewards. After the last online person in the party has been given their prize, the player will be given 10 minutes to reconnect. If the player does not reconnect, they will not be rewarded a prize.

    How to Play:

The game has multiple rounds until the 55th minute of the hour.

A round is whenever the GM starts Draco Monster Invasion. Once Draco announces the map where the invasion is occurring, the GM will teleport themself and all those in the event party to the map. There will be monsters with the name 'Mob Invaders' and dark portals. When the last portal is destroyed Draco will announce which player destroyed the most portals, and which player killed the most Invaders. The GM will then teleport everyone to the event map so the player(s) can get their Interesting Medals. This will conclude a round.

For each round, the player who destroys the most portals will be awarded 5 points toward the overall GM event. The player who kills the most Invaders will be awarded 3 points toward the overall GM event.

If a player outside of the GM event destroys the most portals or kills the most Invaders, they will also be teleported to the event map with the party. However, they are not eligible for any prizes from the prize pools.

    Super Prize Qualification

In order to earn the Super Prize for this event, a total of 30 points must be earned and the player needs to have had 3 games where they had earned the most kills and destroyed the most portals.

    Draco Says:

2013.gif "True success comes from many failed attempts."

Draco has 13 different Invasions! I, the great and powerful event Draco, can call forth the following types of Invasions: Low level Zombie, High Level Zombie, 3 different Insect Invasions, Reptile, Dragon, Poring Family, Goblin Family, Kobold, Orc, Robot, and Muka. I may create from 5 to 11 portals! I may also launch my Invasion on any single Prontera, Geffen, Mjolnir, or Yuno field maps.

Every 15 seconds, there is 33% chance that I will spawn more Invaders from a portal.  I do not care if there is no more space for the monsters! I will simply keep trying to spawn Invaders, so you better work quickly, players!

    Tips and Facts

    • Party experience share will be turned on if everyone is above level 70.
    • The monsters that are spawned by Draco are normal monsters with a Mob Invader name and will drop their normal loot.
    • The type of invasion and location is randomly selected by Draco.
    • If you do not talk to Draco to get your medals before the next round, you will not be able to get them.
    • The only Monster Invasion that players asked to end early was Robot invasion.
    • Because the monsters are normal, pet taming does work. However they will not be considered dead, so you will not get any points toward Mob Invader killings.

Why it is an event of skill

This game relies on your ability to kill mobs in greater quantities and sometimes with different types together than you would normally find.

    Alternative Variants

When the party is less than 5 players, the following changes are modified.

The game changes from a tier winning to a team winning, and the prize pool requirements is shifted.

    1 Invasion stopped: small prize

    2 Invasions stopped:  medium prize

    4 Invasions stopped: large prize

    8 Invasions stopped: Super prize!

  13. Bomb Poring

    Explody things

    unknown.png

Bomb poring is a GM Event minigame where players must avoid being exploded by bomb Porings.

    Required Player Count: 5+

    Game Type: Skill

    Winner Type: Tier winner.

Played since 2016:  91 times (last updated June 10 2022)

    Rules

If you disconnect in the middle of a round, you will be disqualified for that round and have until the end of the next round to reconnect. When you do, the GM will teleport you back to the playing area. If you have not reconnected before the end of the next round you will be removed from the party and will not get any prizes.  At most you will miss out on 2 points.

If the person that disconnected could have performed a perfect game. The GM may rule that the player can retry the rounds they had disconnected for.

If you disconnect at the end of the event, the GM will treat this as being AFK during rewards and the player will be given 10 minutes to reconnect after the last person has been given their prize. If the player cannot, the player will not get their prize.

    How to Play:

The game is broken up into rounds. There are 10 normal rounds and a bonus round at the end.

Each round the GM will count down and then spawn 50 Bomb Porings on 0.  Each bomb poring will cast SELFDESTRUCTION at random intervals. Getting caught in the blast will instantly kill anyone but the GM. Every person who is not dead at the end of the round will get a point. Anyone who is dead will be revived before the start of the next round.

After the 10th round, there will be a bonus round. The GM will spawn 100 Bomb Porings instead. Surviving this round will reward 5 points.

If there is a tie for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, a sudden death round will be played between those that are tied. During a sudden death round the GM will spawn 10 Bomb Porings, and before the last few explode they will spawn more, incrementing by 10 until a decisive winner is declared.

    Super Prize Qualification

In order to earn the super prize for this event, a total of 15 points must be earned. Which is earned by not dying to any bombs during the entire event. This is also known as a perfect game.

    Tips and Facts

    • While speed might seem like a good thing to have to get out of the way of a bomb about to explode, it has been noted that the faster players have died more often than those that are slower.
    • The bonus round has been completed about 6 times, once by a novice.
    • The GM is human, and sometimes the timing for the round to start might be off beat.
    • The GM uses a spreadsheet to keep track of the scores. They will refer to this as the score board. At the beginning of the event, they will record each player's character name into the spreadsheet. The larger the party, the longer this process can take.
    • The first time someone managed to complete the bonus round was on June 29, 2016
    • This event will have a high chance of the player dying. This can and will cause loyalty lost in pets and mercenary. As well as losing experience points towards your next level.

Why it is an event of skill

This game has been determined skill based because the only random factor is when the Bomb Porings start to cast their skill. Being able to quickly judge where to be and executing that plan is a skill. Further, people that generally are good at bomb poring tend to end up with a higher score on average.

  14. Events in Details

A hopeful codex to explain events.

So you're in game and you see some yellow text at the top of your screen that says. "Hello Jellybeans, we'll be having a GM Event in roughly 1 hour. If you would like to join you can ask for an invite in main or you can pm me. I'll be hanging out in [location] in the mean time."  And you want to play because events are awesome and they have prizes, and you can be a winner!

This part of the codex will tell you all you need to know on how to join an event, where to redeem the jellybean, how to vote for an event, and the known prize pool. Each post after will be dedicated to a specific event and explain how to play them, so you may one day be the top player, and perhaps earn a SUPER PRIZE.

Chapter 1: How to join an event

No matter where you are in the world, if you type in main chat, "please invite me" or whisper the GM for an invite. The GM will invite you to the party, you have until the event starts to accept the invite. If you find the GM in person you can ask for an invite in person, they will also invite you this way. If you are already in a party you should leave your party first, before asking for an invite.

If you don't ask before the time cutoff, you won't be able to join the event. Begging to join and pming the GM after they called out the cut off will be considered Malicious interference with an event, and that is against the rules.

If the GM did not specific about which event will be played then once the event starts you will be teleported to the Voting room.

Chapter 2: Lets play a game that will make the most people happy

    unknown.png

So now you are in the voting map. The GM will then explain how voting works if they think there is someone new to the process.

When everyone is on the bridge they will call out the event in ALL CAPS. This is the event you will be voting for or against.

Moving to the O will put your vote towards playing that event. Moving to X on the other hand will put your vote against playing that event.

If you stay on the bridge when the time is up, your vote will simply be considered Neutral, and be worth less than an active vote.

Regardless of your choice, remember to stay still while the GM counts, moving around can actually make this process much longer.

Once the GM calls out the results, return to the bridge, and wait for the next event to be called out.

After all valid events have been voted on, the GM will tally the scores. The results can be anywhere from -1 to 1.   If an event had equal yes and no, it will result in a score of 0. The event with the score closest to 1 will be the event that will be played.

If there is a tie, the GM will figure out a random way to break the tie that is as fair as they can make be.

If someone doesn't move since the start of the voting process the GM might call for an AFK check vote, In this case the GM will choose either O or X, and say something like "IF you are here you have 10 seconds to go the the X, otherwise you will be kicked"  Failure to do so will remove you from the party, and by extension the event.

Chapter 3:  Team games vs Non team games

Normally events have a 1st 2nd and 3rd  winner. And will get unique prizes from the proper prize pool.

1st place will get a prize from the large prize pool

2nd place will get a prize from the medium prize pool

3rd place will get a prize from the small prize pool

if the super prize is won, and the person is either 1st 2nd or 3rd place they are removed from the prize pool and will get something from the super prize pool. Everyone below them will be shifted up, making the 4th place get the small prize instead.

But lets say that the game is a TEAM game instead, the gm called out the event and had included in brackets 'Team'. This means that there is no normal 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place where 1 person can win the prize. Instead it will be the group. Depending on the event the group will increase the possible prize pool by meeting certain thresholds.

Some events might be broken up into multiple teams, in this case it's treated like a 1st 2nd and 3rd game, but instead of 1 person getting the prize, it would be all the players that were on that team.

Chapter 4: One to rule them all

Regardless of the event specific rules, all normal game rules apply during events, and breaking a rule during the event will can cause the event to be put on hold while the GM handles the situation.

On top of this, AFKing during an event is not allowed. If the gm suspect you are AFKing you will be removed from the party and get no prize, this includes during the prize handouts. Regardless of the game, be a good sportsman, and try your best, even if you didn't vote for the event.

    Chapter 5: Pool of Prizes

As mentioned above there are different prize categories that the gm pulls from. This section will explain what can be pulled.

Regardless of if you win or lose, you will always get a GM's Jellybean25050.png, provided you were not removed from the party before the event ended, and had not AFKed. If the GM is a high ranking staff member they may request that you initiate the trade with them instead of them trading with you first. This is because the higher ranked GM will have an option to kill your connection, and it is very close to the request deal option.

The GM will ask the 1st place person if they would like Auro or Item. Choosing Auro will shift the entire prize pool to an Auro amount, for all players. If the game was a Team game, then it will come to a vote just like when you voted for which event to play.  Participation prizes are exempt.

    Participation Prize:

Sometimes the GM is feeling generous and even though you didn't get 1st 2nd or 3rd, you could get a prize from this category. If a GM does decide to give something from here, even those in the top 3 will get it as well.

There are several rewards that you can earn from events by trading them in.

      GM's Jellybean:

At Hugel : 116, 164 you will find a short man near a cow named Chow Fan. Every month his prize pool shifts.

This Hat of summer quest is old and has been around since 2013.

That being said, in an attempt to make a quest guide for all the quest. It should include npc locations, where the chick is in the forest, and anything that makes it possible for someone to complete the quest from start to finish.  Feel free to include alternative methods, or refer to other wiki articles.

JellyRO is looking for Community help to find missing intel
                                    REWARD : 25 Auro32744.png / Per

Being as old as we are, we do have several guides already on the forum and the Wiki. However with all the changes that have occurred, we are not certain if those guides still hold to the standards that we expect from our tasks.

We want a list of all the guides that are not up to standard, and guides that may need to be revisited and updated.

JellyRO is looking for Community help to find missing intel
                                    REWARD : 25 Auro32744.png / Per

As our server is 16 years old, we know that a lot of our quests in game do not fit 100% with iRO or any other official wiki quest guides.  We are asking the Community to check our wiki to find missing quest guides and/or if a quest is no longer correct.

JellyRO is looking for a Quest guide for how to get to Leviathan
                                    REWARD : 1000 Auro32744.png

The quest should start with how to start fishing and getting the fish, as well as where to go to battle the MVP Leviathan.

Note: we don't expect you to know the entire ins and outs of the fishing mechanics, but a basic guide should be provided.

JellyRO is looking for Community help with gathering intel.
                                    REWARD : 15 Auro32744.png / per

We need a list of all HP and/or SP healing items. Sometimes the CP has troubles grabbing this information. What we plan on doing with this information is to later sort it in order of least healing to most. We have a strong feeling that a lot of healing items were buffed or nerfed over the years, and has messed with the balance.

JellyRO is looking for some Community help with head issues.
                                    REWARD : 75 Auro32744.png / per

Our game has 127 colors that work in combination with 85 hair styles, for each gender, with 8 directions.  That is 172,720 different combinations that we do not have the time to go through. We need to know which combinations have issues. Maybe there is a weird line on the side when you look a certain direction, or the colour pallet doesn't work with a certain hairstyle.  Remember to check the face as well.

picking stuff up, taking damage, and dead also should be performed in your checks.

JellyRO is looking for a Art for the Loading images.
                                    REWARD : 750 Auro32744.png

      Requirement:
Size: 640 wide by 480 height
      Format: .jpg
Additional info: 24 bit depth, 96 dpi.

Right now we have 2 loading screens that alternate. We would like to change that. Loading screen needs to have JellyRO in the image somewhere. Game will resize to fit the client's size so do keep that in mind.
