Finnian
Spooky season has come to JellyRO with a gust of chilly wind smelling faintly of pumpkin spice... We're excited to kick off our holiday event season with the annual Halloween event! There is so much we wanted to include that we simply ran out of time to get everything done, but fear not! We will have a second update later this month to introduce more spine-tingling event content! On second thought, perhaps you should be afraid... Anyway! Right now we have some delightfully spooky Halloween games and festivities with a fresh batch of rewards for you to enjoy! Let's get into it. Welcome (Back) to the Pumpkin Festival There are lots of things that you can do during the Pumpkin Festival. Several events will be offered in different towns. If you participate in these events, you get a Pumpkin Festival Certificate! You can use these certificates to get rewards. Most of the events you can only do a fixed number of times each day, so you should choose carefully which reward to get. Now you may ask yourself, but where, and what are the events? Trick or Treat Halloween lasts for one day, but during the Pumpkin Festival, it's still custom and practice to dress up and go from house to house to ask for candy for the entire month. You will be able to trick or treat in the five towns Izlude, Rachel, Geffen, Alberta, and Niflheim. On the minimap you will see the locations of the houses where you can knock to ask for candy. But wait! You need to put on a costume first! In all of these five towns, you will find the Unhappy Mask Salesman, and he will assist you in creating a mask that disguises you as a monster to go trick or treating! Keep in mind that for each town, you need to put on a different mask. When using the mask, your costume will only stay for 1 minute, so better stand in front of a door, or else your mask will go to waste. In order to make it easier for you to find the Unhappy Mask Salesman, here are his locations for each town: Izlude 102,67 South of Rachel (ve_fild02) 183,380 Geffen 39,124 Alberta 28,240 Niflheim 27,157 In the past every town except Izlude had 10 houses but now even Izlude has 10 where you can knock on the door. You can only knock on a door once each day, and there are different kinds of candies or ... "things" ... that you can get depending on the town. You can go trick or treating 10 times each day per character. For every successful knock on a door, you get 1 certificate. Now go, and find out which types of candy you can get from all the towns! Mysterious Pumpkins Approximately every two hours, Mysterious Pumpkins will appear in the towns of Payon, Aldebaran, and Yuno. They are quite harmless, but among them, a few Mischievous Ghosts are hiding, disguised as a pumpkin. Find the Mischievous Ghosts, and drive them out of the towns, so they stop scaring people. But be careful, they are quite swift... After 30 minutes, all of the pumpkins will disappear again for a while. You will see an announcement when they're back! Catch them and claim the Certificates they stole! Powerful Pumpkin Pies If you have already been online, killing monsters, you might have noticed that sometimes, you receive an Edible Pumpkin or some Raw Dough. You can use these items to create a Powerful Pumpkin Pie that boosts your stats for a short while. To do that, bring 3 Edible Pumpkins and 1 Raw Dough to Casper, the not-so-dead travelling cook (/navi alberta 114/71). You can only get 1 certificate each day for creating pumpkin pies, but you can create as many pies as you wish. Strange Sightings There have been sightings of an old spirit making trouble in the neighborhoo- eh, I mean in the fields south of Prontera. Not much is known about that, though, so you might want to figure it out on your own. Pumpkin Festival Certificates and Rewards Right next to Casper, you will find Hermann, the Ticket Master in Alberta (/navi alberta 118/70). He distributes the Pumpkin Festival rewards in return for Pumpkin Festival Certificates. Visit him to see what he offers you. Rumor has it that if you have enough certificates in your inventory he will offer you a special prize. Remember to use them before the event ends, however, or they will no longer be valid. Is it a trick or a treat? Sometime during the event some other events may occur, but what kind of events, you ask? Keep your eyes and ears open as we get closer to Halloween and you will see~ Event ends on November 7, 2022! All event items will vanish after the event ends (Obviously not the rewards) Summoning Shenanigans To help keep unsuspecting players from being caught off guard by out-of-place monsters, the following items will no longer work unless you are in a public or private branch room: Dead Branch, Bloody Branch, Poring Box, Red Pouch, Ghost Summon Scroll. The Branch Rooms can be accessed by going to Izlude and talking to the Shady Guy that is across the street from the warp girl. The public branch room is free. Also, there are 8 private rooms available, and you can rent them for your party, guild, or just yourself for a limited time. Monthly Updates Featured Auro Shop Costumes Featured Jellybean Rewards Additional Notes Auro Shop and Jellybean exchanger have been updated. Jellyblob was updated to reflect change in Auro Shop costumes. Reduced fame points by 10% for all characters on accounts inactive for 90 days. Pumpkin Festival mini-games enabled. Trick or Treat in Niflheim no longer spawns monsters when you knock on doors. Additional goodies are obtainable instead. Trick or Treat in Izlude now has 10 doors you can knock on instead of only 8. Monster summoning items Dead Branch, Bloody Branch, Poring Box, Red Pouch, and Ghost Summon Scroll now only work in Branch Rooms. The script has been disabled on Item 21089.
