As some of you may have noticed, there has been a change to Gepard. The first patch for this change caused the community to experience problems, where some players were getting the dreaded Error ID: 21 because their hash code didn't match with the server. After some investigating, we cannot figure out why this has occurred. Kathis even compared a good .grf with a bad .grf down to the bits, and there were no differences.

Therefore, we made a new patch on October 7 that will push the complete updated gepard.grf out to everyone. It's a large file which can take a while, but we learned that it can't be patched in parts, only the whole thing.

Here's what we hope to achieve by making everyone get this patch:

  • People who haven't patched recently will not get the error the next time they patch.
  • People who have patched and got the error will now only need to patch again instead of downloading the manual fix.
  • People who patched and didn't get the error will be in sync with everyone else, which may prevent future issues.

We, the staff of JellyRO, are sorry that this has occurred and has dampened your Halloween experience, but there are plenty of good things to look forward to. More Halloween content will be added on October 15!

Unlike the other gepard files (gepard.grf and gepard.inf), the patcher doesn't replace gepard.dll if it's missing. If you deleted any gepard files prior to patching, check your recycle bin just in case you may have accidentally deleted gepard.dll too. If it's there, just restore that one file.

Otherwise, if you use Windows Defender, check if it removed or quarantined the file. As far as I know, no other antivirus programs have an issue with it.

If It's in neither of those places, or you're having trouble figuring it out, here's a replacement that you can put in your JellyRO folder: gepard.dll (3.3 MB)

Let us know if you have any further issues with it.
