Failed to retrieve patch_allow.txt

Hi. I install Jro a week ago and keep getting the 'Failed to retrieve patch_allow.txt' when patching, I'm using Windows 10. I search for a solution in Wikiro but the administrator run and other solutions didn't work. Is there someone that got this solved? thanks in advance.

Make sure you've tried the following:

1. Try again at a later time. The Patch servers may be down.
2. Make sure your internet connection is stable and not dropping packets, IE shaky WiFi.
3. Make sure your game client is completely closed out.
4. Try deleting patch_allow, patch2 or patch etc. and try patching again.
5. Open patch_allow.txt and change deny to allow. Set file to Read Only.
6. Patch manually.

umm yeah Halcyon, those are the solutions I found in WikiRo and already tried (except for the sixth, wich I'm trying to avoid cause dowloading all those files one by one will be hell) but thanks anyway... anymore ideas?

Unfortunately, you can only try patching again at a later time, as the official kro patcher may be down for some reason or other.

 

In the meantime, you can try bypassing the patcher by going into your RO folder and running jRO.exe. However, you run the risk of being dc'd if you run into sprites you don't have.
